Jakarta,REDAKSI17.COM — Indonesia’s Ministry of Investment and Downstream Industries/Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM), together with Danantara Indonesia and the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KADIN), will take part in the World Economic Forum’s (WEF) Annual Meeting 2026, to be held from Jan. 19 to 22 in Davos, Switzerland. Indonesia’s participation at WEF Davos is not an ad hoc initiative, but rather a reflection of the country’s long-standing and consistent approach to economic diplomacy.
The engagement aims to strengthen the promotion of Indonesia as an investment destination and to reaffirm its role as a strategic dialogue partner amid global economic uncertainty. In previous WEF gatherings, Indonesia has actively used the global forum to present its structural reform agenda, highlight strategic investment opportunities, and underscore its commitment to sustainable development and the green economy.
“The WEF is clearly a very important moment for Indonesia to convey our national narrative and future plans to the global community, including newly issued policies and regulations, as a signal that Indonesia continues to move forward,” said Rosan P. Roeslani, Minister of Investment and Downstream Industries and Head of BKPM, in a recent statement.
In recent years, Indonesia’s participation at WEF Davos has become a key platform for strengthening dialogue with world leaders, global business executives, and strategic investors. As WEF Davos 2026 adopts the theme “A Spirit of Dialogue,” Indonesia’s presence takes on added relevance amid growing geopolitical fragmentation and global economic uncertainty. Indonesia is positioning itself as a constructive, inclusive, and solutions-oriented partner, offering economic stability, policy certainty, and competitive long-term investment opportunities.
At WEF Davos 2026, Indonesia will once again present an Indonesia Incorporated approach—reflecting close coordination among the government, state asset managers, and the private sector. The Indonesia Pavilion, themed Indonesia Endless Horizons, will involve the Ministry of Investment and Downstream Industries/BKPM, Danantara Indonesia, and KADIN Indonesia. This initiative underscores Indonesia’s seriousness in delivering a unified narrative on its development direction and national investment promotion.
In addition, the WEF 2026 program will feature Indonesia Night, a strategic economic diplomacy event designed to strengthen relationships with global leaders, international investors, and business figures in an informal setting. The event will showcase Indonesian arts and culture, including music, dance, and cultural exhibitions. Through this cultural diplomacy, Indonesia seeks to emphasize that it is not only a competitive investment destination, but also a nation with a rich cultural heritage and a global partner open to sustainable, inclusive collaboration with a strong orientation toward green economic development.
Indonesia’s track record at previous WEF Davos meetings provides a solid foundation for expanding high-quality, sustainable investment cooperation that delivers tangible benefits for national economic growth.
